It's fun to turn small drawings and sketches I created on procreate into repeat prints. It was something I haven't played with in a while and I thought this particular design would be fun to turn into actual fabric. I designed this dress and with the help of a seamstress I got this made in london for myself.
So the Kasai Ami dress was born.
Kasai means Fire in Japanese which is the name I gave to this new print design.
I wanted to design something autumnal but on a style of dress that is prefect for all year round. This print features orange and red flowers, lit matchsticks and spiderwebs on a black background beautifully digitally printed onto a lightweight textured poly jacquard.
