Mo Dao Zu Shi (The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) is a novel written by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu.
The novel is about two main characters Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji.
Wei Wuxian (Wei Ying) is the only son of Cangse Sanren and Wei Changze. He haves a humble heart, hate rules. He is bold and confident in himself and his abilities, and with good reason as his intellect and strong spiritual abilities made him one of the top cultivators at the time.
Lan Wangji (Lan Zhan) is the second young master of the Lan clan. He is a person that always follows the rules though it is revealed that while he normally does follow rules, he also has his own sense of justice that he will follow even if it means disobeying rules. He always displayed an air of elegance and a face of indifference.

The novel truly touched my heart when reading it. It's not only a story about love and brotherhood but also contains many mini stories about each others's life. And I think people can find the empathy in this.
