RMCAD Student Gallery Branding
Getting the chance to make improvements to our design building at RMCAD (Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design). I proposed the idea of installing a student gallery for students to be able to print out and display artwork for not only peers to see but also those who tour through the space to see what the graphic design department has been producing. I was able to come up with whatever I wanted, so I tried to think of things that would not only be classy and easily approved by the school but also creative and original.
Rising Tide came from the famous quote and the idea that the rising tide raises all boats and part of my goal with the student gallery was to elevate the program giving students the chance to finally get excited about showing off their work and the pressure of trying to create a work that would get chosen to be displayed.
Pixel Perfect came from the idea that we as designers all strive so hard to manage every single pixel in a given work and by the time it is done and finished all the pixels are exactly where they should be.
Fresh Picked came from the idea of using a play on a farmers market and using the newest freshest ideas to land a spot in the gallery. It was the most laid back approach and was an attempt at slight humor for something that would be seen by many people.
