Cake Mate is a brand of decorating icing looking to reach out to their target market of mothers and children through a new design rebrand. The style was one that reflected the look of a vintage bakery with a modern twist. We used this style because we want the consumer to have their own baker’s experience through the rebrand of the Cake Mate product.
The website was designed to appeal to both parents looking to buy the product and to kids who will join in and influence the purchase decision of their parents. Although the audience is aimed towards mothers, the stripes can be changed to the other icing colours (yellow, purple and blue) so that if fathers wanted to go on the website, it was not limited to a feminine colour palette. The site features decoration tips, recipes, promotions, history and a 'Create Your Own Cupcake' game
as an incentive for children to come to the website and ultimately, stay there.
