Slink // Packaging
& Branding For Spray Cans (WIP)

Graffiti culture in India is booming with several new street artists and graffiti writers scouting throughout the nation for empty walls and abandoned buildings for art jams. The present scene has a few organizations contributing to the cause but it does lack a community where people can get to know about new writers and observe their art from a closer perspective. Also, the supply of graffiti cans in India are extremely limited to a few brands and is almost inaccessible.

The Aim of this project is to create a functional product and a brand which adds to the graffiti making experience and believes in creating a portal for graffiti / street artists and contributing to the culture
through collaboration.

About

The Brand would have an online portal where artists can create their own adaptation using their graffiti style for the brand/logo to be featured on the can. A bar code placed on the design would lead to the artist's profile and feature works. The portal is also responsible for notifying people about jams throughout the city, Through events involving hip-hop culture, cyphers and similar events, artists get to collaborate and contribute to the culture, building an active community.

The Packaging ( Can Label )

The patterns used the vectors denote speaking out for yourself and sending a message/being the voice.
Graffiti has always been about questioning the authority and speaking out for a community/individual.

Secondary Packaging

The basic idea here was to quicken the process of switching between multiple spray cans with ease.

Paracord weaving and a carabiner combined to make a pouch which holds the can. The carabiner helps tagging the pouch onto your belt which makes switching between cans easier. The carabiner allows easy and quick connection to any object and makes it ideal to work on ladders/high rises.
