This is a composite image I have created based on the fairytale 'Thumbelina'. The story follows the journey of a tiny girl, who bloomed out of a flower. She finds herself in all kinds of trouble but eventually, after a long winter, she finds what she has been searching for all along. 

This video displays the layers of my Photoshop file, highlighting the process and thinking behind the images and editing techniques I have used. 

These close up images show the detail of my work. You are able to see the snow flakes and water droplets on the flower which transform from one to the other. The texture I have used is also shown, this helped bring the whole image together.

These are the images I used to create the composite image. Some of them I have only used small pieces of the image, and others I have used the image the image multiple times.
