For this project, I want to practice my illustration styling skills. Therefore I chose three different techniques to portrait three New Zealand historic figures.
I applied the comic book style for the first poster. This style focusing on heavy single colour outline stroke, limiting white space and creation of shadow with
simple flat colouring technique.
For the second style mainly have deckle edges on the figure without any outline. Using different shading to create shadow and dimension. The simple soft colour used.
The last style, we focus on pencil stroke movement, emphasizing the details of the facial expression. I used contrast colours to reflects light and shadow and creating
a very bold and unusual portrait.
