The Tree House | Temporary Space

A project that wants to propose an alternative image of the classic tree house.
The idea is to create a micro-architecture where spaces are defined by alternating SOLID AND VOID VOLUMES. As if the structure was created by NONEXISTENT  WALLS: through a play of moving geometric shapes.
An important goal of this project is to propose a fast, convenient and easy way to assemble it, using PREFABRICATED and PREASSEMBLED  structures. To achieve this goal, I referred to the world of theater. Observing the work of theater machinists, I decided to hang the structure with ropes and pulleys systems, as the sceneries are hanged. The part that is mainly inspired by this mechanism is the ladder; a DUAL FUNCTION of  “stairs”  and a “door” is achieved thanks to it’s MOBILITY.
STEP 1: Installation of the structure on the ground around the trunk of the chosen tree. The trunk must be at a minimum height of 6500mm and a maximum diameter of 1000 mm. Structure will be raised only by ropes in the fourth phase of assembly.
Step 2: Floor mounting
Step 3: The windows installation
Step4: The higher collar sertve to raise the central part of the house. The rope that passes from the pulleys is pulled down and the structure is raised easily. Then the rope is tied near the trunk of the tree.
Step5-6: The side structure comes pre-assembled and will be raised by steel ropes and a pulley system.
In an analogous way to the central part but in addition this time aided by a binary system.
Step7-8: The scale  comes pre-assembled and will be raised by steel ropes and a pulley system.
In an analogous way to the central part but in addition this time aided by a binary system.
This binary system is fonduental and it is the key element for the future scale moviment.
Step 9:  Roof installation
