Mark LaBere was a member of the Bismarck, ND community for many years—including as a student at Bismarck High School and the University of Mary, respectively.

A longtime professional for the locally-headquartered J-Sons Construction, LaBere served as treasurer of the Bismarck Youth Hockey organization for seven years, was President of the Bismarck Public School Foundation from 2001 to 2003, and coached multiple youth, club, high school and college soccer teams in the area.
