Here is a book jacket I had the pleasure of working on for my dear friend Emily through Grove/Atlantic Publishers in New York. I wanted to show a bit of the process of creating the artwork
as well as some of the jacket manifestations that we decided to scrap.
The imagery was loosely based on hand-made barbershop signs seen throughout African cities.
