T O N G U E G I R L
I originally created this painting in 2018 as a quick study and came across it again when I was sorting through older artwork. I initially just wanted to tweak it here and there, but ended up redoing most of it. It ended being one of my personal favourites.
I applied so many techniques I had recently tried out - the textured brushes, integrating background and foreground colours and overall paying attention to the smaller details. In the past I often created art so I'd have something to post online, whereas now I'm taking my time to render my work and it pays off.
Below, I've placed the two final artworks next to each other for comparison.
