Book cover design for the Puffin Children’s Prize 2013 - The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. 

 

My main intention in this project was to try to avoid cliché and overused symbols and executions. So I decided for more abstract and metaphoric concept.

 

Four watercolour stains are metaphors for four main characters and four seasons that are also important for the story background.
