In my Digital Illustration 3 class I was asked to come up with a creative beverage design. I chose to go with beer because I feel that a lot of beer packaging is very bland. I designed Cerveza De Jalisco to for a mexican audience in Guadalajara, Jalisco. This beer would be sold in specialty beer shops across the states. I came up with the idea by thinking about my parents home towns, Ayutla and Mascota Jalisco. I wanted to capture the different towns of Jalisco and emphasize on the lands culture. I took the existing town emblems and modernized them a bit while still keeping their a vintage/retro quality. The colors are all natural tones and have a texture to make the designs much more vibrant.
