Optical Fiber Chandelier
Traditional chandeliers is a focus point at home, as a symbol of condensation. Translating the symbol with modern material and design language, turning the reflection into conduction, and reimplanting into present home. With modern material and design language, transferring classic chandelier into the modern one which fit our living space more, and being simple but not monotonous.
The twisted fibers which light flowing through were made by plaiting. This work showing the texture of light, also creates the effect similar to light reflection from classic chandelier.
To get the best result, trying different ways to plait and adjusting the amount and thickness of optical fiber according to its characteristic and light effect.
The light come out from the end of optical fiber and be diffused by the acrylic cylinders. With small metal plates, keeping the image of candlesticks from classic chandelier.
