Jean-Michel Basquiat
Exhibition, Visual Design
This project is focused on designing the visual identity for the fictitious exhibit on Jean-Michel Basquiat to be held at the Reina Sofía Museum of Madrid.
Building on his origin as a graffiti artist, Basquiat’s use of color and text have made him an essential figure of 20th century contemporary art.
The “For Real” exhibit highlights graffiti’s influence on Basquiat’s life and art. Basquiat’s dynamic and colorful style makes his art appealing to everyone from children to experts with a trained eye.
Advertising this exhibition with two large vinyl faces on the museum’s glass elevators, an iconic element of the Reina Sofía Museum and Madrid, makes it a focal point for potential visitors.
