The 55th Annual NCMS Training Seminar is scheduled from June 10 to 13 at the America's Convention Center in St. Louis. The four-day event provides professionals engaged in the security sector with networking and various career development opportunities through seminar topics such as "Government & Industry: Maintaining Your Facility," and "Threats in the NISP." Those two courses are offered on the first day, while the opening ceremonies and keynote address, focusing on leadership and succeeding through adversity, take place during the morning of June 11.

In addition to training opportunities, the annual seminar includes the presentation of the James S. Cogswell Awards on June 12. Awards include the Lonnie R. Buckels Presidential Award, Donald B. Woodbridge Award, and James N. Hickok Industrial Security Professional Award.

More than 1,500 people attended each of the past two seminars, while 2018 saw a drastic increase in first-time attendees and volunteers. New to this year's seminar is a pocket guide and smartphone app, professional headshot lounge, and an on-site Red Cross blood drive program.
