Illustrations in collaboration with Deepak Jas from Colourfull
I met Deepak virtually on Instagram. I instantly became fan of his work for how he is trying to help the LGBTQ+ community by spreading awareness through his website wearecolourfull.co.uk, specially the people of colour. And he loved the way I use minimal design efficiently to visually communicate a story. As we appreciated each other's work, the next idea was to do something together. And in no time we had it.
Deepak wanted to start re-introducing his platform through images. He wanted to post series of images to promote what Colourfull is all about and who is it for.
This is the first series of images. Where you see the journey of a queer person. Through responsibilities and stress, fear of the society, and eventually self discovery.
For this illustration I took inspiration from one of my favourite Artist Brindha Kumar, her exquisitely delicate thin outlines and unusually beautiful use of colours and gradients always fascinated me. And now I had the opportunity to put it in work.
Deepak had explained me the story behind each graphics, and I did my best to bring them alive.
