PUBLIC SERVICE POSTS

The goal of this project was to create three posters for a cause. There was a tremendous amount of research involved in order to find a campaign that was meaningful to me, as well as spark up some ideas in my brain. Some of the things I researched were other artists' poster creations and topic ideas.
Poster two on a bus station. Bright and saturated as a clear and concise reminder to save electricity and use energy-efficient bulbs.
Throughout the course of this project, I created about 40 sketches on paper before getting started with my digital work. Before moving too quickly through to the digital part of the designing, I did lots of brainstorming. I came up with poster ideas by combining object ideas, words and slogans to create an idea that would make an interesting and unique visual.

Finally, I reached the stage of designing on Adobe Illustrator. I chose my three favorite thumbnail sketches and created them in black and white using the pen tool. Next up, I made my first color comp. I got some advice from peers and finally added final touches and the necessary changes to come up with the creations I had in mind.
