Everyday Object Revisit: Vinyl Records
The records.
While doing this project, the aim is pretty simple: to bring people back to the past, to introduce them, the “thing” that’d brought us the golden age of music, the format that survived over a century and still live up well to this day, with the most primitive technology and the most straight forward concept .
This black round plastic plate inspired millions and millions of pure teenage souls, took them through the stages of life with its unique melody.Till this day, the boys and girls back then can still rewind the past, by just spinning the record. And that’s the vinyl record I remember. It’s not just an object. It’s memories, memories that are made of plastics. Means it will last forever. That’s the kind of message, I’d like to express through my design.
