Modern Batik
Modern Batik is a traditional technique where wax is used as a resistant to water soluble dyes on fabric. There are many ways to achieve various effects, but the most popular is the layering of various colors and shades to achieve the desired effect. The portraits below represent my exploration of the various techniques and introduction of new media.
