Past
The earliest creative influences in my life are my brother Cody, anime, and Disney cartoons. In high school I sewed a dress out of nothing but chocolate rappers, I felt very accomplished about this. My father doesn't think that art is a proper career choice so I have been working to prove that wrong. I love to sew, paint, draw and photograph. One of my biggest influencers have been my sewing teacher, she has taught me so much over the years.
Present
I have always been interested in designing clothing and so that is what got me into sewing. My Design Philosophy is to just start. I struggle with procrastination and so just by sitting down and getting your ideas onto a page you are able to open up your mind and begin creating.  School has challenged me by putting me on deadlines, this is an added stress but is also extremely important. This year I created an illustration of my dog and I was very proud of it. I never thought that i could  make something so details and realistic looking. I also made a small painting with and it just did not turn out the way I wanted it to and so I was very displeased with the outcome.
Future
In five years from now I see myself working as an art therapist, I would love to help better the well-beings of other though art. I think that is beautiful. Next year I will be taking recreational therapy at Niagara College, while working and selling my art. This year I learned that it is better to put in all your effort and do not look for sort cuts because your result will suffer. If I were to give advice to someone looking to begin a career in the arts, it would be to take inspiration from everywhere. If I could make a wish come true it would be to make art for people that evokes emotions and inspires others as they do me.
