I created this set of stickers for those who appreciate a sense of adventure and feel the draw to explore everything the world has to offer. I want these stickers to help keep the spirit of adventure alive in those whom it thrives in.
During my sketching process, I focused on many individual objects and shapes instead of trying to put them into a scene. I also was a bit torn on which theme or topic to make so I ended up with a bunch of objects and shapes for different themes. I began to lean more towards the nature theme and creating a scene or a couple objects to do with adventure in nature. One of my worries as I sketched was that the theme would require detailed pieces to make it seem more interesting and appealing. Because of them, I tried to sketch a variety of types of one object, for example, one type of tree.
After receiving some feedback on my draft stickers, I tried to figure out what made them interesting and what made them boring. One of the suggestions was to try a different perspective. With this feedback, I really focused on movement, scale, and proximity.  I felt these simple design principles would help me to achieve the fun and adventurous feel I was trying to make. I worked on having a more interesting silhouette for each sticker by examining the scale of each item and sizing different objects up or down. As well, I worked with the movement in each piece, making sure my eye could easily flow throughout the sticker. A big part of this gaining this movement was through proximity. As I placed each item and moved them around during the drafting process, I began very aware of the proximity of each object in relation to those around it.
Through my attention to the proximity of each object to one another and movement felt in each sticker, I feel the sense of nature and overall adventure was captured. These stickers can contribute to the motivation people like me feel about wanting to experience the world.
