PROBLEMA

Falta de señalética en la Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM).

PROBLEM

Lack of signage in the University of Monterrey (UDEM).

SOLUCIÓN

Se creó un complemento de la aplicación de la UDEM, el cual permite al alumno encontrar su salón y las distintas instalaciones dentro de la universidad fácilmente, ya que la falta de señalética en la UDEM impide que el alumno encuentre con facilidad las instalaciones, provoca la pérdida de tiempo, perderse y en algunos casos faltas por llegar tarde a clase. El objetivo es facilitar el desplazamiento de los alumnos dentro de la universidad, dándoles la seguridad de saber a dónde se dirigen, el sentimiento de formar parte de la universidad y ahorrando su tiempo.

SOLUTION

A complement for the app of UDEM was created to help students find their classrooms and facilities of the university. Because of the lack of signage students can't finding the facilities and classrooms with ease, this causes the loss of time and getting lost. The objetive is to facilitate the movement of students within the university, giving them the security of knowing where they are going, the feeling of being part of the university and saving up time.

U-MAP

En la app se mostrará un mapa de la UDEM, podrás buscar las instalaciones ya sea por las secciones que se determinaron o directamente introducir el número del salón. Algunas de la secciones predeterminadas son:

- Edificios

- Salones

- Estacionamientos

- Comida

- Enfermería

- Deportes

Para nombrar ésta aplicación se juntaron los dos elementos más importantes, los cual son la universidad a la que se le brinda el servicio (UDEM) y lo que se utilizará para ayudar el alumno (mapa)

UDEM + MAPA = U-MAP

U-MAP se dará a conocer por las redes sociales de la UDEM, email y en la aplicación para aquellos que ya la descargaron.

In this app you would see a map of UDEM, you would be able to search for any facility or classroom you need to go too and it would show you the way. You can search by typing the number of the classroom, or you can use the sections that have been determined, some of these sections are:

- Edificios (Buildings)

- Salones (Classrooms)

- Estacionamientos (Parking lot)

- Comida (Food)

- Enfermería (Infirmary)

- Deportes (Sports)

The name is a combination of the two words that are a big part of the app, these words are UDEM, the university that is going to use this app, and Mapa (map) because it is what tells you the location of the facilities.

UDEM + MAPA = U-MAP

U-MAP is going to reach the students by UDEM's social media, email and through the app for those who have already download it.
