A school assignment about typographical poster design
inspired by the late medieval period and Notre-Dame de Reims (Reims Cathedral) in France.
We were supposed to create and dramatize a name for the exhibition, which would be the main motive for the poster. I chose to dramatize the words "Ink & Feather" as it symbolize gothic typography and the fact that everything was handwritten with ink and feathers before the printing revolution started.
It was also important that the poster easily could resemble the given era, but at the same time give a modern impression. That's why I chose to use few and dark colours with the exception of the light turquise as it is a very modern colour today.
