Noise, honesty and emptiness are explored through color and composition in a series of fractured portraits. Red, evocative and loud, serves as both an invitation and a warning. Blue, internalized and submissive, yields an air of honesty to the space it occupies. It provides an opportunity for introspection but is often overpowered by red, preventing honest reflection. As blue struggles to be heard among the red the amount of noise grows, making honest communication and connection harder.
