Escalera perdido
I shuffled twenty papers with nouns, things and people in one envelope, and twenty adjectives and contexts in another. Out of the four hundred possible combinations between both, I got this one. Escalera perdido was my personal final illustration project, as closure of my intensive illustration course at Escuela Minúscula this past year.
The conceptualization of the serie was rather complex and long. It had several stages -and breakdowns myself-. With Pablo Amargo's Cat Paradoxes work as reference among others, I managed to find some creative getaways, some wit to juice; some inspiration.

It turned out to be really hard to draw a ladder with its own personality, a staircase with its own life. Who knew. I shook them, turned them around, used any material or format I could until I stumbled upon the final lines. It was a fun and crazy ride.
Some of the first drafts.
Color palettes and trials.
