Lotus Temple, New Delhi, India
The Lotus Temple is a Bahai House of Worship that was dedicated in December 1986 and cost $10 mn. It is the last of the seven major Bahai temples built around the world. The structure is made of pure white marble. The architect Furiburz Subha chose the lotus as the symbol common to Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Islam. Adherents of any faith are free to visit the temple and pray or meditate.
