The Utopia/Dystopia Project:
This is my entry for the Turbosquid Utopia/Dystopia competition. I decided to try and build something overly positive and used the concept as an excuse to practice environmental story telling and hand-painted PBR textures.
The idea behind the scene is a hamlet caught in the middle of a GIANTROBOT™ war - many years ago. A nasty weapon exploded and the last thing this robot did was protect this homestead with it's giant hand.
The idea behind the scene is a hamlet caught in the middle of a GIANTROBOT™ war - many years ago. A nasty weapon exploded and the last thing this robot did was protect this homestead with it's giant hand.
The weapon caused the environment to be devastated, and reclaimed by poisonous plants - and so now, only that inside the shadow of the hand thrives. Luckily - the homeowners were able to remove the shield generator from one of the fingers of the hand, and used it to hold back the beasts that wander in poisonous wasteland of the Robot Graveyard.
