Synthwave Mahjong Set

Synthwave Mahjong Tile Set
Board
Two background colors were used for the board, the design was made mixing synthwave elements and chinese art.
Tile Redesign
Circles
The circles were designed as ladies and laddies with parasols and flowers. Face paints contrast with their purple bodies. Most tiles follows a Yellow-Red-Blue gradient standart on the facial paintings and parasols, unlike circle 1, as a "leader" of the group, follows a purple-yellow gradient.
Bamboo
The suit was redesigned so that the bamboos were intertwined, and the peacock tile was maintained, with colors that fits the suit.
Characters
the character suit was redesigned with the pure synthwave elements like the sunset vector and the use of purple and pink. The original ideograms were mantained.
Dragons
The three dragons were redesigned with the same linework, then, colored diferently. The white dragon have less saturation than his "brothers", and the absence of his particular ideogram.
Seasons
The seasons were redesigned as maidens with some simbolic season elements in their kimonos, and a climatic change that appears over the treetop.
Flowers
The flowers were redesigned with excessive linework and purple/pink gradients.
Winds
The wind suit is a mix between the four elements and some creatures from chinese traditional art, two lions, west and east, made of jade and bronze, that are consecutively earth and fire, a golden carp, the south wind and water element, and a quartz heron, the wind element and the north wind as well.
The set, built and ready!
Special thanks for Kaique Ferreira, for helping with the woodprinting, also for Laura Rocha and Julia Ribeiro for helping with the crafting (including cutting and sanding the tiles and bringing info for the game and the intruction manual.)
