Rehabilitation center for children with disabilities in Kiev
The site for placing the rehabilitation center is remote from sources of pollution and noise, has good ventilation and insolation, as well as calm relief.
The main benefit of the selected project area is close proximity to specialized hospitals, horse farms ( ipotherapy is the main rehabilitation method for patients with musculoskeletal system problems and syndrom of autism), unique natural landscape (near the Gulf of the Dnipro river, plantations), and the distance from residential areas in Kyiv.
Organic connection of the Rehabilitation Centre with environment ensured by rational location. Composition of the structures taking into account optimal orientation, terrain, climate and the nature of the vegetation, the maximum building disclosure on nature through use of galleries, open areas, green roof, large windows, comfortable exits to the park.
Fasades
The blocking of volumes technique provided quite convenient connections between the objects due to warm transitions, and also the necessary isolation for individual groups of rooms from each other.
