Winter at Eccup

An icy breeze brushes past my cheek, causing my skin to tingle and twitch. My hands are numb trying to hold the camera, but it feels good.
Winter in the UK is not always as it should be. For many years the UK had warm winters with very little, if any, snow. However, the past couple have been colder, which is good, and landscapes and everyday locations took on a surreal appearance.
I resist the temptation to make a snowball, even though I have no-one to throw it at, and snow angels are never far from my mind either as I walk along the frosty track.
The snow brings with it fresh, crisp air. I inhale deeply, trying to savour the moment.
There are very few vehicles around these parts, and the whole place takes on an air of quiet eeriness, which I adore.
Sadly, a few days later, this scene is the total opposite, as all the snow has melted already, leaving behind nothing but a few dirty puddles and a few precious memories.
