Palisade USA: “Fuck All That Hypebeast Shit.”

Inspired by the late 70s, 80s and early 90s nostalgia, Palisade USA has mastered using the platform of their brand to deliver a message. Aside from the old school appeal seen on their social media, website and in the designs of their clothing, what makes the brand stand out most is their stance to not back down on saying how they really feel.

I am pretty sure that we could all agree one of the best aspects of that time period, whether focusing on fashion, music, art, etc., is everything was done boldly, with a purpose and nobody cared about having a filter. Well, Palisade USA is on the come up of bringing that back.

The Orlando, Fla. based brand markets their apparel with sayings like, “Don’t spend hundreds of dollars on that Hypebeast bullsh*t. Instead, let us replace those over-priced clothes with merch that doesn’t feel like a ripoff when you wear it.” Their Instgaram (@palisadeusa) is full of vibrant colors, hints of black backgrounds with bold white letters, expressing more of their sayings and using vintage style photos as abstract art. Their latest post shows a slightly distorted image of drugs depicted as kids, captioning “The Kids Are Not Okay.”

However, one of the coolest features is their take on recreating old advertisements into promotions of their own, such as using the army recruitment photo of the man’s hand pointing through paper and changing that from the “army wants you,” to “Palisade wants you.”

But, running a clothing line is not the only thing this company can do. They also have a SoundCloud. It currently has eight radio mixes, all running about 25 minutes long, which offer Hip-Hop & Rap and Dance & EDM genres of music. I’m somewhat of an R&B junkie; but the Radio Mix 005 that starts off with 2Chainz definitely gets the job done in the gym or at a kickback with some friends.

Palisade USA has two shirts and one hoodie available for sale now on their website, but keep your eyes open for they are preparing to release a new collection called “Generation Z” towards the end of July.
