Aunt Gwen: “Sustainable Style for Everyone.”

What other designer do you know that’s making hand-carved illustrations on their clothing and selling it for a good price? Nobody? Cool. Me neither, until I stumbled upon Aunt Gwen. The Jacksonville, Fla. based brand has combined their love for art and fashion to produce literally one-of-a-kind pieces for everyone.

Aunt Gwen purchases recycled clothing and uses a starter-block, printing kit to add detailed designs of uniquely artistic versions of body parts to their pieces. From their silk tie tops, peach jackets and various button-ups, Aunt Gwen gives anyone looking for something different, men or women, so much to look through.

One of my favorites thus far is a pair of cream, sheer bottoms with eyeballs printed on the front and back. They’re only 30 dollars, so I won’t be surprised if I go ahead and buy them.

Aside from giving their clothes a personal touch, Aunt Gwen also does the same with their website design and Instagram aesthetics (@aunt.gwen). Both layouts are full of color and have a really cool theme of outlining their models facial features in bold colors to replicate the authenticity of the deigns on their clothes.

With hopes of continuing to grow and expand the brand, Aunt Gwen isn’t slowing down anytime soon. “My goal for the next year is to be in more retail shops and travel further for pop-ups,” says Aunt Gwen. The brand also plans to eventually open its’ own brick and mortar shop to host events and workshops.

Stay on the look out for Aunt Gwen. We’re excited to see what cool design they may release next.
