BRIEF
De Keizer Marine Engineering requested a redesign for their 1995 Alarm and Monitoring System,
so that the on-board software interface would match the craftsmanship of their luxury yachts.
so that the on-board software interface would match the craftsmanship of their luxury yachts.
THE CONCEPT
Direct manipulation of the AMCS system using a 3D model of the actual yacht. Some examples below.
ALARM SCREEN
New alarms get displayed on the 3D model of the yacht and are categorised using the main nav icons, so that the captain can easily recognize the type of issue that's making an alarm go off.
BILGE SCREEN
Tank levels are visualised by gangues.
When a tank is too full, it’s representation on the boat will also turn red.
To drain full grey water tanks, the captain can simply tap on the corresponding sensor or tank.
This will activate it and display a blue line representing the draining liquid to the following valve that requires manual activation.
