International Education Week - Bridge the Map
For this year's International Education Week (2018), 'Bridge the map' represents a journey to educate and inform one another about global cultures and issues as well as to celebrate multiculturalism at Ringling College of Art and Design.
International Education Week consists of seven events that are organized and ran by Ringling College students. Each event aims towards educating domestic and international students about each others' diverse cultures through art and entertainment.
Bridge the Map concept was applied to image format by collaging portrait photographs of students from different backgrounds, creating a visual representation of the cultural mix at Ringling College. The idea was used as well to typography by mixing serif and sans-serif typefaces, reinforcing the contrast between the similarities and differences within the student body.
