Footprints

Here is a sample of my current body of work; a wordless visual narrative titled Footprints.

It is the first book I have written and illustrated and tells the story of a young boy who finds the courage to carve his own path through the snow.

Made as part of my ongoing studies in Illustration (BA) although the work is not generated as result of a specific brief but is rather a personal exploration into emotional representation and visual communication.

Memorable narratives for me should have some personal truth underpinning the visual work, the motivation for this project was to explore themes of independence and exploration. Told through the adventures of one boy who unable to relate to those round him decides, with the help of a friend to indulge his obsession with adventure...
