Prototyping in full scale with pattern paper, tyvek & armature wire, and muslin let me see the overall form and explore a unique closure solution. Switching to 1/4 scale paper mock ups allowed for much faster patterning iteration, quickly finalizing the form and function before moving to real world materials.

The vertical zip and roll top closure allows for unparalleled access while packing and the ability to quickly grab smaller items without the need to dig from the top down. Internal compression straps and a laptop/hydration sleeve keep things organized whether on the trail or getting there.
