The 'Bamboozled museum' is going to based on medical quackery through the ages- Examples, advertising, packaging, the people who practiced it etc. After researching quackery from the Edwardian/ Victorian eras, I noticed that medication was stored completely differently in fancy glass bottles- compared to the basic cardboard and plastic packaging we have today. Therefore, for my initial poster idea, I have decided to to take modern day forms of quackery back in time and store them as if they were in a victorian pharmacy. After looking at old medical packaging and labeling, I have created these rough ideas for the old labelling of the Atkins diet, portraying the dangers and elements of quackery behind them, rather than the standard 'amazing rapid weight loss treatments' you see today.
