Digital 2D: A Message from afar
A video showcasing "The Message infection timeline" in my 4X6" artbook.
Various camera shots of my art-book
PNGs exported using Photoshop. Each one is 4X6".
Concept sketches laying out the main ideas I had for my book.
My artbook above represents/displays the entirety of "The Message Podcast" I created this artwork in a way that would express the beginnings of the disease showing the viewer the rate of the infection, to the point where it completely overwhelms and consumes the human race. The idea is that the triangles represent the standard healthy human. Eventually once the message is heard the human species are thrust into a world that they no longer recognize as their own. Eventually "The Message" overtakes the human race and turns them into octagons. This represents the infection quite literally changing and morphing the human species into an unrecognizable form. The last page in the book shows one stray octagon that stands out, that is because I wanted to focus on how "The Message" changed the human species internally, in contrast to the other octagon shapes that are merely now represented as lines externally.
Digital 2D: Texture Transitions
12X6" Digital Texture Transitions Printed with an Inkjet Printer
Photograph Texture Transitions same size.
These texture transitions show that "The Message" had spread and caused a critical disease that is spreading at a rapid rate. The first one shown reads from left to right. It focuses on the power and rate of the disease infection. While the second transition reads from front to back. Showing that the message is airborne and that the spores of the disease can reach almost anywhere on earth including the secluded forests away from the major cities.
Digital 2D: Tiled Composition
Laser print 17X11" using black and white ink.
For this piece I had to create a hexagonal composition that represented the spread of "The Message Podcast" rapidly infecting and slowing killing or driving people insane. By only using hexagonal shapes in 5 different states. 1. A healthy person 2. A person who has heard the message but isn't sick yet 3. A person having a pulmonary attack 4. A person overtaken by the infection 5. A person that has been consumed by the spread. This tiled composition shows the spread of the infection at a rapid rate.
Digital 2D: Loop Pattern
4X6" Screenshot of artwork and code.
The first piece represents the message spreading to millions of people and causing them all to fall ill. The black random circles represent the various healthy people while the blue represents them getting sick. The green represents the message itself is spreading everywhere at a merciless rate, due to the power of the internet "The Message" has been able to transmit and infect millions of people already. Including the cipher centers team. It has already infected 2-3 people in the team and is most likely going to spread even further.
This digital artwork was created  by using code in a program called processing. I had to create pieces of art that simulated/ represented a certain section of the podcast "The message" I chose to do Episode 5: the time stamp of what I was trying to simulate was 7:05-8:45. During this part of the podcast various members of the cipher centers team are either getting suspicious, paranoid or actually gotten physically ill or worse died. In the 1st piece this represents confusion and paranoia of the mystery of the message. Everybody that has heard the message has had their thoughts either scattered or become hazy. I tried to create this effect by choosing colors that often times make people feel uneasy, The amount of circles also adds to this effect on the viewer.

The 2nd piece represents the argument and contention among the members of Cipher as well as the growing paranoia among the team against Nicky Tomalin. The red and orange circles represent this growing change in the team. The blue represents multiple team members literally falling ill, the fall directly correlates to Tamara Weilly who died in the hospital from hearing the message. I used the color blue to simulate this because when you can't breathe your face starts to turn blue.

In the 3rd art piece this represents confusion and paranoia of the mystery of the message. Everybody that has heard the message has had their thoughts either scattered or become hazy. I tried to create this effect by choosing colors that often times make people feel uneasy, The amount of circles also adds to this effect on the viewer.
Digital 2D: Coded Rhythm
My audio spectrograph inspired piece. Size is 8X10"
My various lines of code that created the piece above.
What inspired your composition and how did you go about making it?

I was inspired by the sound waves that you see on a audio spectrograph.
They read from left to right and create stalagmite looking pillars as they go to the far right. I have always been fascinated with how audio waves look. I based my design off of this concept. I created this art by listening to the audio waves on the episode 4 Podcast of "The Message". When I heard the audio waves jump or sink I would draw a line trying to replicate this sound in wave form. After listening to the podcast, I put the height in the code to an odd level to replicate this sound wave but in a circular motion to make it not stagnant.
Sound waves from the message podcast that I mimicked.
