In college, I have noticed a lot of my peers do not vote because they are still registered in the county they are from- but they don't change their registration or fill out an absentee ballot. I always vote via absentee ballot and it is so easy to do! I wanted to create a Get Out the Vote poster directly targeting people that would be voting with absentee ballots. This is a significant part of the voting population (around 20%) and the number of people using absentee ballots has been steadily increasing over the past decade. 

There is also a common misconception that absentee ballots do not really matter in elections, but every single ballot counts. 

The absentee voting process is not perfect, but it is certainly a legitimate way to make your voice heard. This poster supports the importance of absentee voting!
