Haydn was asked by Piers Husband, a Hampshire based author and publisher to illustrate and design his new book, Leviathan.
Developed in his sketchbook (where idea generation and composition is worked out), the illustration was painted with gouache, watercolour and digital. Focusing on the forest which features heavily in the book, the illustration shows this forest towering a neighboring village - New Cross.
