A Truth Uncertain

In this visual poem, we follow our narrator. Driven by a source of light, he believes it is his guidance. In the end, it leaves him contemplating a resolution he is unsure of accepting.
Like a moth to a flame,
I sought a guiding light.
.... only to discover one not so bright.
Out in the distance, I witnessed in true,
A piercing light, which would guide me through.
I'd look up in wonder at how to obtain,
That light with which I'd end all vain.
And as I approached, my end in sight,
Contemplation overcame, as I questioned what's right.
So here I lay in wait, but to what end remains unclaimed.
