Apparently this was once a tower, not sure what it was used for, but it was very useful for me, to shelter from the winds of storm Callum. St Nectans Church in the distance, some call it the “Cathedral of North Devon” with its 128ft tower is claimed to be the highest in Devon, and for centuries has been a landmark for sailors at sea.
