Illustration CONCEPT :
“建”= Representing “Construction” , “Structure" in the character of Kanji.
We wanted people to see the poster and feel “Wow, it looks interesting” for this event success.
We thought how to realize it symbolically, enjoyably, and without huge energy (cost restriction).
Then, We chose this idea.
We added elements to the Kanji character ( Gothic font ) and made it into a building.

POINT : If all elements/lines goes along the grid, the dynamics disappear and it becomes too geometric.
So, some of those lines were drawn off the grid on purpose .
This brings out warmth and produces an effect that looks happy.
