For UNAVE, the goal of this rebranding was to create a strong and distinctive mark, and clearly associated with the products and services of the institution, with the aim of providing a consistent corporate message to the market and the public.
The new UNAVE’s brand identity is a representation of its ability to successfully connect people who care with acquisition and updating of skills and knowledge, in the professional community and the general public.

Solution

The concept behind the proposal is symbolic of transfer of contents and new information, that comes from the idea of a "download" icon and consisted in an abstraction of the letter "v".




The website

The last Unave's website was integrated in the website of the University of Aveiro.
It was decided to create its own online platform, as a fundamental part of the repositioning strategy. All old content was composed exclusively of long texts, without images and any appealing visual content. This phase of the project involved the study of the old platform, initially translated on the site map,
and in line with the new intentions of repositioning in the area of professional development. The second stage was devoted to the design and visual representation of the website as well as the user experience. The third stage included the programming of the website in collaboration with DigitalLab, while
the second stage took place during and until the end of this process.




The signage

The next images is about the conception and development of the wayfinding system for the UNAVE’s facilities.
Each of the numerous compartments has its own colour combination to set it apart, then each visitor can identify “their” colour that will guide them through space.
