When we say each letter of the alphabet, we automatically add an extra sound to the end of each letter.

This is a visual exploration of these sounds.

For example, when we say the letter T, it has the same sound as the word 'tea'. So the letters 'ea' (after the initial letter T) in this case make the sound 'eee' and so visually, I see the pitch of the letters getting higher. The letter W was a tricky one as we don't actually say the letter, we make a series of sounds or words to symbolise the letter . So in place of the English alphabet letter W, I have interpreted it in a visual series of lines symbolising the 'roundness' of sounds and the pitch of the sounds also.

I have future aspirations for this project, whereby i create sentences using this technique of visualising sounds because each letter changes it's usual sound depending on what letters are either side of it. It could also be used to explore different accents or even languages.
