TRAPPED
ILLUSTRATION & EDITORIAL DESIGN
Created for the 'Hijack' issue of Gallery and published in March 2012, the article in question was somewhat dark and left suggestions for the reader rather than an explicit version of events in the tale described. This called for a suitably grim aesthetic, and drawing from the reference to a biro I created an original illustration dripping ink as if to suggest blood, the body shattered and the lid scattered across the page below.
The story also contained undertones of sexual abuse which inspired the title arrangement its overpowering typographic choice.
