As they say, "Never judge a book by it's cover" but you can certainly get attracted to it.
Whilst being an avid reader, the artist in me could not keep her eyes off different book covers.

Out of the various genres of books, I chose to create a Cover Design for a Mystery novel.
Mystery book covers have a lot of potential for expressing ideas yet keeping the appearance mysterious, and that was the real challenge.
Mystery book covers have a lot of potential for expressing ideas yet keeping the appearance mysterious, and that was the real challenge.
The dark shades of blues and greens create an apt appearance for the title whilst the brick red for the text balances the cooler tones.
