I believe this young raven was raised in a nest in the flowering gum at the front of our block.

Initially it was resting on the ridge of our garage, but flew off when I parked the car.

Obviously the back fence was an obstacle too great to overcome.

The two parents were closely supervising the process, although they were being harassed by the local magpie gang.

The bird also had to cope with a cool, stormy day.
