Sustainable Fishery in Sicily
Sustainability in fisheries combines theoretical disciplines, such as the population dynamics of fisheries, with practical strategies, such as avoiding overfishing, curtailing destructive and illegal fishing practices by lobbying for appropriate law and policy, setting up protected areas, educating stakeholders and public, and developing independent certification programs.
Sicily, a wonderful island in Italy, and one of the most beautiful in the world, works hard everyday to maintain fisheries sustainable in all its archipelagos seas.
The Project
We all have drawn sea waves when we were young. Simple wavy lines that keep so much movement in them. From those memories, in these project we thought to those waves and the life that lives under them. Fishes, some of the most precious resources mankind has in nature. This resource is going to be damaged by wrong fishery methods, so it needs to be protected and maintained free from too many human interventions, which in a design ambient could be seen as details, decorations or complex shapes made by the designer.
So we simplified the concept to the most simple geometrical shapes, triangle, to respect that idea of pureness.
